Tesla 50

The Tesla 50 is the first of a range of ultra light rail vehicles aimed specifically at smaller towns and cities. The Tesla Public Inter-modal Mobility System (PIMS) at around 1M€ per kilometre as against 12 to 15M€ per kilometre for conventional systems makes the Tesla affordable but most importantly of all the Tesla 50 is the “state-of-the-art” for innovation, energy economy, operational flexibility and reliable passenger service. The Tesla 50 can be driver operated or fully automated.

Personal rapid transit is a passenger on-demand fully automated public transport system, usually fixed route, which is today in its infancy but there is growing interest due to the potential of operational low operating cost.

Tesla has the ability to engineer complete personal rapid transit, PRT, systems and can offer a scheme based on conversion to automatic control of existing fully homologated vehicles providing safety and, comfort and service reliability.
